Enter a point inside a U.S. field. The checker retrieves the NRCS map unit and flags a short list of drainage, runoff, flooding, bedrock, water-table, slope, and water-storage questions.
The result will preserve the underlying NRCS values and show which simple AgriAuditor rule produced each flag.
The lookup uses USDA NRCS Soil Data Access and SSURGO map-unit aggregates: farmland classification, drainage class, hydrologic soil group, flooding and ponding frequency, depth to bedrock and water table, representative slope, and available-water storage in the upper profile.
The service accepts only validated coordinates, queries a fixed USDA endpoint, and never accepts user-supplied SQL or a destination URL.
No. SSURGO is mapped survey information. A field can contain inclusions, disturbed areas, drainage work, and management effects that are not represented by one map-unit aggregate. Use a profile inspection and laboratory analysis for parcel decisions.
It is a named mapped area that can contain one or more soil components. The checker shows the unit at the selected point and uses dominant or representative aggregate values; it does not claim every square metre is identical.

The point may be outside available SSURGO coverage, fall on water or an unmapped boundary, or the USDA service may be temporarily unavailable. Move the point farther inside the field and try again.
