What was the Farmer Bridge Assistance payment based on?
FBA used a flat commodity payment rate multiplied by eligible reported 2025 planted acres. Payments were acreage-based rather than production-based, and prevented-planting acres were not eligible.
Can an existing applicant still check a payment?
USDA directs existing applicants with a secure Login.gov account to the official FBA page to check application or payment status. Producers can also contact their local FSA county office.
Was crop insurance required for FBA?
No. USDA stated that crop-insurance linkage was not required for Farmer Bridge Assistance.
